What the review looks like
An illustrative example, not a real user. The fields are the ones your review returns.

Charge nurse experience
If you have covered charge shifts, say how many and how often. If not, name it as a goal rather than implying it.
Rewritten bullet (in the app)
Responsible for patient care on a busy unit.
Cared for 5 to 6 med-surg patients per shift on a 32-bed unit, including post-op recovery.
Rewritten only from details already in the resume (unit size and ratio were listed elsewhere).
What it checks, and how
1.Reads the job first
If you paste a posting, it is parsed into its actual requirements. With no posting, the review uses your target role or your resume headline as the yardstick.
2.Matches with evidence
Each requirement either lands as a match, pointing to the line of your resume that proves it, or as a gap. An unmet requirement is never counted as met.
3.Scores in parts
Fit is broken into 3 to 5 dimensions such as skills, experience, domain, and seniority, each with a one-line reason, then rolled into one calibrated score. 75 and up reads as strong, 50 to 74 as moderate, below 50 as a stretch.
4.Checks the writing
A separate check counts how many bullets carry a real number, how many name a specific tool or project, whether your summary speaks to the role, and flags stock phrases like "team player".
Resume vs job description: the job fit checker
A general review tells you whether your resume is strong. A job fit check tells you whether it is strong for this posting. Paste the full job description into the optional field above and the score is measured against that posting's requirements instead of a generic standard.
You see a match score with a verdict, the requirement you meet best with the evidence behind it, and the requirement you are missing with a suggestion for it. Run it on two postings and the difference shows you which application deserves your time, and what to change before you send it.
What it won't do
- It never invents experience. Matches must point to something in your resume, and rewrites in the app are checked against your original so new skills get flagged, not slipped in.
- It is not an ATS simulation. It reads requirements and evidence the way a screener would, but it does not claim to predict a specific applicant tracking system.
- Scanned image PDFs and old .doc files will not read well. Use a PDF exported from Word or Google Docs, a .docx, or plain text, up to 10 MB.
- It is AI feedback, not a person. If you want human eyes, the app has optional peer reviews and a paid reviewer marketplace, plus booked sessions with real career coaches.

Questions & answers
- Is this AI resume review really free?
- Yes. The review runs without an account: overall score, summary, one strength, and one gap. A free account unlocks every gap, the full fit breakdown, and all suggestions, saved to your profile.
- How is a free AI resume review different from asking ChatGPT?
- The output is structured and tied to evidence. Every match points to evidence in your resume, every unmet requirement is listed as a gap, and the score is split into named dimensions instead of a paragraph of general advice.
- Can it check my resume against a job description?
- Yes, that is the job fit checker. Paste the posting and the score is measured against its requirements, with a strong, moderate, or stretch verdict, the requirement you meet best, and the one you are missing.
- What kind of resume feedback does the AI give?
- Strengths backed by evidence, gaps named as the requirement you do not yet show, honest framing or upskilling suggestions for each gap, and writing feedback on metrics, specificity, and generic phrasing.
- Will it rewrite my resume?
- The review tells you what to fix. In the app you can then tailor your resume to a job: lines are rephrased and reordered from what is already there, and anything not found in your original is flagged.
- Is my resume shared with anyone?
- No. Your upload is used to generate your review. Peer and expert reviews are optional inside the app, with anonymity you choose per request.
- What file formats work?
- PDF, DOCX, and plain text, up to 10 MB. Exports from Word or Google Docs read best; scanned images do not.
